Developed to the same exacting standards as their racing helmets, the Arai SZ-R Vas open face helmet has become the SZ-R Vas Evo, further improving its performance and comfort, and now boasts ECE 22.06 approval.
It combines lightness, maximum protection and top-level finishing. With its PB-CLC2 fiber shell, it absorbs impacts like few other jets on the market, and its VAS system, inherited from F1, lowers the impact point for greater safety.
Comfort lives up to its name, with a removable, washable interior in top-of-the-range antibacterial fabric, a shell that adapts to the shape of your skull, and ventilation like a full-face helmet, thanks to several adjustable air intakes on the front and back.
Thelong, clear screen offers ultra-wide, clear vision, and is compatible with an optional Pinlock lens for riding even in wet or cold conditions. This helmet is also predisposed for an intercom system, thanks to cut-outs in the foam.

Safety
- Material: PB-cLc2 outer shell ("Complex stratified construction (square) with peripheral belt"). Super-fiber laminate construction borrowed from Arai's F1 technology, considerably increasing shell strength and flexibility while maintaining a low weight and lower center of gravity.
- Located in the upper part above the eyes, this band contributes to the use of a thinner EPS liner, greatly improving the upward field of vision

Comfort
- Interior: removable, replaceable and washable in soft, supple, hypoallergenic, anti-microbial fabric helps maintain neutral acidity levels. Soft, deep and even more comfortable fit
- Facial Contour System (FCS) interior: for a better fit and improved lower jaw comfort, the Facial Contour System (FCS) works with a foam suspension support in the cheek pad, which compresses and rebounds, to provide the necessary support without additional pressure
- Removable padding at the temples for a customized fit
- New cheek pads, with easier removal system, firmer fit, space and Velcro for communication system
- Cheekpads with a water-resistant layer: a waterproof foam prevents water from penetrating, and also works as a sound insulator, adjusting sound to a moderate level
- 5 mm "peel-off" earcups and cheek pads: featuring a 5 mm peel-off layer to save space when needed, for even greater fit and comfort
- Replaceable earpieces and detachable slot for easy insertion of eyeglass temples
- Visor: clear, anti-scratch coating and predisposed for high-performance Pinlock anti-fog film (available as an option on iCasque)
- Visor with VAS variable-axis system: with a lower pivot point that allows the shell to be more flexible in the temporal zone, improving the helmet's ability to slide more smoothly if it comes into contact with the ground. This lower pivot position is made possible by the dual-pivot assembly creating a Variable Axis System (VAS), enabling the display to operate where a single pivot could not.
- With the VAS system, the visor's attachment position is lowered, offering an average of 24 mm more at the temples.
- Optional Pro Shade external visor system: top, bottom or center, this new visor system adapts to a wide range of light conditions without sacrificing the helmet's impact protection performance. Its unique design lets air pass through even at high speeds

Ventilation
- Ventilation: identical to that of the Arai RX-7V Evo full-face helmet. Combined systems provide excellent, efficient ventilation
- Central top-entry vent: button for easy opening and closing. Top vent has three positions: closed, semi-open and fully open to adjust airflow and prevent water intrusion when fully closed.
- Rear ventilation: neck exhaust, improves extraction of warm air from inside. Increases the ventilation effect at the bottom of the helmet
- Rear ventilation: side vents, produce less pressure behind the rear vent for better air extraction. Integrated into the shell for better aerodynamics, reduce wind noise and prevent shaking at high speeds. Inside, a small foam barrier helps absorb and reduce excessive noise, without reducing ventilation performance.
Aerodynamics
- Aerodynamics: patented, non-adjustable Air Wing®. Moto GP tested and designed to reduce drag, turbulence and wobble for greater comfort and extra top speed. It improves helmet stability at high speeds or during hard braking, and reduces noise.
