Bell, the American brand synonymous with benchmarks for over 50 years, is reissuing its legendary open face helmet formerly known as the Bell 500 RT - in homage to the Indy 500 race - under the name Custom 500.

For fans of the 60s and 70s, and of Steve McQueen - who wore it and helped make it legendary - the Bell Custom 500 open face helmet has a taste of nostalgia.

With its classic vintage look and modern design, it features a shell that benefits from Bell's Twin Shell System technology, i.e. a composite fiberglass shell - for reduced weight and improved shock absorption - covered by a thin, abrasion-resistant technopolymer shell.

Bell has designed this helmet with no fewer than 5 different shell and EPS sizes, an incredible number for a jet helmet of this type, enabling it to offer a weight and volume perfectly proportional to the wearer's morphology, and limiting the well-known "bulb-head" effect of this type of helmet.
