Ixon IX - Airbag U04

VENTILATION:

• The Ixon U04 airbag incorporates advanced Airflow Channel technology, a unique ventilation system that guarantees optimum cooling of the body. Thanks to 3D Mesh channels distributed over the entire back and torso of the inner lining, air circulates efficiently in and out of the airbag.
• Developed in collaboration with IXON MotoGP riders such as Aleix Espargaro, Brad Binder, Miguel Oliveira and Takaaki Nakagami, this technology has its origins in racing.
• The outer materials also enhance ventilation: Hard Mesh on the front and rear, and ultra-stretch Mesh on the sides. Result: the Ixon U04 Airbag offers optimum ventilation and maximum coolness.
  
  

COMFORT:

• Made from ultra-light materials inside and out, the IX-AIRBAG U04 is the lightest electronic airbag on the market.
• Its ergonomic design guarantees total freedom of movement and optimal riding sensations. With its close-fitting cut, it's discreet and doesn't feel bulky.
• Featuring 3 fall detection modes integrated into the In&box electronic box designed by In&motion, this airbag is perfectly suited to Road, Racing and Adventure use.
• Switching from one mode to the other is simplified thanks to the My In&box mobile application, accessible at the click of a button.
• The U04 airbag is the only airbag equipped with specific algorithms for each type of riding, developed by In&motion. FIM-approved, it is authorized for many national and international circuit competitions, such as WSBK and EWC.

PROTECTION :

• In the event of a crash, the airbag is operational and effective in just 0.055 s, i.e. well before the first impact: 0.033 s detection time + 0.022 s inflation time.
• Inertial measurement system comprising 6 sensors (3 accelerometers and 3 gyroscopes) that measure the rider's movements in real time: over 1,000 analyses are performed every second.
• Inflatable cushion covering 4 zones of protection to protect vital areas of the upper body: neck, back, thorax, abdomen.
• Latest-generation OPW airbag: up to 5 inflations before factory inspection, i.e. 2 more inflations than the IX-AIRBAG U03.
• Deflating: optimized airbag operation for protection in the event of a fall or over-accident, as well as post-fall management.
• Operating time: 30 hours.
• In&Box electronics recharging time: 2 hours.
• Certification: CE-certified garment to EN 17092-6:2020 C U, airbag tested to AMC-013 protocol.
• Expanded foam back protection, 15% lighter than IX-AIRBAG U03 back protection. CE-certified to EN 1621-2:2014, type FB ("full back" protection) and level 1.
