If Givi luggage quickly became a worldwide name and won the hearts of many passionate bikers, it would be because the Italian manufacturer is constantly innovating in order to provide scooterists and motorcyclists products designed and developed to cater for all their needs.
Givi hard luggage, bags and top boxes are divided into two ranges:
MONOLOCK®
Top boxes with reduced dimensions, intended for light vehicles, scooters and maxi-scooters.
MONOKEY®
Bags and top boxes with more generous dimensions, created primarily for motorcycles, they allow a greater weight load.
The Different Types of Attachment Systems
Monolock®
This system was developed for scooters and maxi scooters, the Monolock plate upon which the Monolock top box sits offers three attachment points for a snug fit and ease of use.
The Monolock top box can be opened and detached from the plate with a single key.
Monokey®
The success of the Monokey system is in part down to the easy-to-use system which allows you to open and dismount the top box with only one key.
At the same time, Monokey luggage comes equipped with a reinforced attachment with larger top cases in mind and allows you to carry heavier loads. This is really the top-end range of Givi luggage.
Hard Cases: Monokey-Side®
The Monokey-Side® is a patented hard-case attachment system which guarantees good stability for your side-cases. The Monokey-Side® system was designed to trace the shape of your two-wheeler to give you enhanced aerodynamic performance. All this in addition to the simplicity of use with the open and detachment single key system.
Hard Cases Monokey Cam-Side®
The Givi Trekker Outback hard cases are intended for off the track use with all mechanical constraints involved.
To withstand the extreme stresses to which they are subjected, Givi have developed a specific binding system for their Trekker Outback hard cases, the high strength Monokey Cam-Side®.
This system has four side attachment points for maximum holding strength. It also allows rapid release of its hard cases and retains the simplicity of Givi use.
They are made with tubular steel 18mm in diameter for optimum structural rigidity to withstand the trials of adventure riding.

You need:
A support rack
A plate
Givi top cases attach to either a Monolock® or Monokey® plate depending on the type of top box selected.
The plates attach to a specific bracket OR, on some bike models, can attach to the original support racks.
Plates for Top Cases:
The plate serves as an interface between the cycle and the top box, mounting onto a specific Givi bracket or directly onto your bike\'s own luggage rack.
The 2 types of plates:

Support Racks for Top Cases:
Support racks allow the plate to be fitted to your bike.
If your two-wheeler already has luggage racks you will not have to buy Givi supports.
If your bike does not have a luggage rack you will have to mount a specific Givi support rack.
